We decided to give our Victim a checked shirt but
more of brighter colour. We chose this colour as it draws more attention to the
character and shows the viewers who the vulnerable character is. We wanted to
make it clear who the ‘weaker’ character was. The use of brighter colours
contrast well against the gang members who wear darker colours, which makes it
a lot easier to identify who the ‘stronger’ and ‘weaker’ characters are.
For our trouser wear we decided to use Jeans. As in
older westerns, plain blue denim was a big part of main characters costumes.
The famous designer, Levi Strauss was the designer of all denim clothing in
traditional westerns so we thought we would include plain denim into our movie.
We chose the victim to have the denim jeans, as our other characters would be
better off with the skinny jeans.
Footwear for our victim was converse. As the jeans
weren’t skinny it allowed the jeans to cover a majority of the shoes up and
especially the logo. We decided to go for these as it would separate the
stronger characters in the film, (the gang members and the main character),
from the weaker characters.
