For the
gang members, we thought that checked shirts would work the best. This is
because it symbolises a western look and as they will be the ones being beaten
up, we didn’t want their clothing to suggest any type of power or authority but
to still giving a western look. We also decided to choose less visual and
bright Colours as they didn’t stand out and a majority of all gang members in
films all wore darker colours.
Skinny Jeans were used as it gives a modern feel and
contrasts well with the checked shirt, which is used to give a western feel.
This means that we have both a modern and traditional feel. We also used skinny
jeans for our gang members which show authority and power relating back to our
main character who has the same type of costume and is powerful and heroic.
We had a large choice to pick from when it came to
choosing the correct footwear for our gang members. As a group, we decided that
formal shoes (brogues) would be a preferred style as it fits along side our
main characters shoes also. We didn’t want to use trainers as it would also
draw to much attention to the ground and what shoes they were wearing.
