innovative techniques including (composite editing, camera movement & on
locations shooting)
Narrative
-film opens with
two bandits breaking into a rail road telegraph office.
-The bandits force
the operator at gunpoint to stop the train and give the engineer orders to fill
up the trains up at the stations water tank.
- After they do
this they make the operator un-conscious and tie him up.
- Two more bandits
join when the train stops at the station.
- Two of them
enter an express car- killing a messenger and open a box of valuables.
- The other two
kill the fireman and force the engineer to halt the train and disconnect the
locomotive.
-4 bandits then
force the passengers off the train and take all their belongings.
-Carrying all
their loot, the bandits escape in the locomotive then later stopping in a
valley to continue on horseback.
- Operators
daughter enters and restores him to consciousness by throwing water on his
face.
-Operator goes to
a dance hall to gather assistance and then the men grab their guns and peruse
the bandits.
-Final shoot out
where the bandits die.
Final shot
-The final shot is
a close up of the leader of the bandits firing point blank towards the camera.
